It's somrthing to do with the sender unit which is on one of the brake calipers on the early mille's mate of mine told me it happens to him when he washed his bike but always returned after a few hours there might be someone out there could be more certain.

That could be my bike now then lol. My speedo clock started playing up after riding it back in the rain. The sensor is on the rear caliper and I found it was the rubber gaiter was split letting water in to the wiring. Yours doesn't look the same fault tho as mine didn't show on the clocks after the key was taken out. Sounds like you water in somewhere :confused check all your plugs around the clocks and give em a blow out :dunno

:confusedCheers sprocker. Its still like it even now.:confused That bike is soooo lucky its winter or i would be cutting my own todger off and ramming in through the ******* zorst. (apparently it helps with these kind of probs). I need a day with just me and the bike (pref a warm day) and i will get to the bottom of this:confused

BS i have a spare one down south. If you can not get it sorted. The glass has a slight crack in it but you can replace that with the glass from yours if you need it. It will be cheaper that a new one:thumbup

Cheers mate. I just cant beleive this happened from cleaning my bike. The sponge was only damp. Wasnt like I was jet washing the damn thing :dunno
I will take the clocks off when I get the chance. If no joy I will give you a shout. :thumbup
