:biggrin Well chuffed here. After tinkering with speedo sensors and voltage testing everything but the kitchen sink I was about to aim my instrument cluster at the nearest skip. The Aprilia dealer told me it was buggered and not a "fixable" part and I had decided to bite the bullet and replace it. Then RS3 mille suggested I look to see if any solders had gone dry on the connector. I had a look but they were ok. Looked a little closer and saw that moisture had caused a tiny bit of oxide to form and bridge the connections on one of the chips. Cleaned it up and it worked:doug

2 lessons: 1) Just cos the dealer says its duff it dont mean it is.
2) Keep them clocks as dry as a bone.

Now I am back on the road:biggrin And cheers to RS3 Mille for his suggestion. It made me take one last look before binning it:thumbup

Only problem is the wifes at work and I got to look after the kids all day so the beast gets to sleep in the garage a bit longer:eatcorn

That's always a good feeling BS, when you think you're going to have to spend a load of money on something you don't want to and then you fix it for free!! Good job mate :thumbup
