The Fens.
Gave the T a bloody good clean this morning.Got caught in heavy rain on tuesday and the bike got filthy.I'm a fussy fooker so it turned into a 4hr marathon.
Couple of things I noticed,....the rear, faired in indicators had been half full of water.I thought the lenses were cracked, but it was a tide mark.:eek
My rear carbon hugger has a load of stress cracks down the l/h side.Gonna have to be replaced,or fit the placcy one back on.:thumbdown
Finished the cleaning and took off on an 8 mile round trip for petrol/cash.With the bike nice and warm,I checked the oil level.Oops,....no oil in the sight tube.:rolleyes
**** me,gonna have to keep an eye on that in the future. To be fair,I cant remember checking for quite a while.Just over half a litre of fresh oil and all was well.
I did read somewhere that the T uses a bit of oil until the miles rack up,so keep an eye on it folks.:yes

I got caught in rain last week Keith and gonna give it a good old wash down on Sunday and stick some scottoiler acf 50 all over. To be honest knives on 12k at the mo and due a service but engine oil I've only topped up a little in about 2500 miles. It loses some but not that much. How's that for keeping on thread aldo old man?

gave mine a good clean the other day and noticed a fair amount of stonechip damage pretty much all over the front. Fairing, screen, forks, various carbon bits etc !!
Spose goin slow evertwhere is the only answer but thats no fun at all !

Got rad covers and headlight protectors on my T, will stop the expensive bits getting trashed (unless I bin it).

As for stone chips etc, pain in the arse but bikes are for riding and the odd ding just goes with the territory.

I suppose you could get some of that clear ventureshield shield or similar for the fork legs etc

How's that for keeping on thread aldo old man?

So proud of yer mucker.

Keep it up.

You whont stop the T from yousing oil , dough to high crank preshers the harder you ride it (or rev'it) it will push oil out of the engin up the breather to the air box and then sucked in to TB's AND out of the exhoursts so you will see a puff evry now and then iff you are following a anuther T,or RSV and smell it as well ,its normal , best thing to do is only top up oil tank to the Half way mark on your sight Tube you will yous les oil , as this seems to be were it setals for a while once you have fild it right up to the top of the sight tube , try it you will save a few quid in buying Fully sinth .
