Chip / exhaust dilemma

Hi all. Trying to decide what to do with my bike.

Not had it long and still need to confirm, but both previous owners tell me that it has the EVO chip fitted and i have the EVO can, allbeit sortened by about 3 inches.
I have removed the EVO can, for the standard which I removed the restrictor from before re-fitting but I think the EVO chip is still in there. Is it overkill leaving it in there with the standard can on - i.e. is it gonna be running too rich and wasting fuel?
If I had a standard chip, I'd probably re-fit it for this setup as I can see the ECU wire is cut. I have heard people say that that is good enough to runa race can anyway, map no. 2?
I removed the EVO as it's loud, but I guess I could re-pack it and fit a baffle, which would probably suit the chip better than the standard can but I don't know what to do. It is on ebay, but lots of people have asked if it comes with the chip too.

:dunno :dunno :dunno

The Evo chip is matched to the Evo exhaust...maybe best to sell the pair if you going to a std. can..but you will need a std. chip also.

Personally, i'd repack the Evo pipe and keep it as is. The RSV Titanium Evo chip is a good chip..it will be mounted on a sisterboard, which in turn is mounted to the ECU motherboard. This chip has the ECU trim pots enabled for fine tuning gas %
Cheers

The evo chip will certainly be wasting fuel ,but it won't do any real harm.

When i had a race can on my 2000 bike i fitted a Wolf baffle which just slid in the end and it knocked the noise down a fair bit.

Repacking will help but they soon get noisy again

Yeah, I need to pull my finger out and check the ECU to be 100%

If I do sell mine, I need a std chip, then I'll end up getting another bloody can later on anyway!

Baffle and re-pack are a bit less hassle I guess...

Hmmm.
