Just thought I would also share my method of mounting my sat nav. Basically a couple of strips of self adhesive velcro.
I have tested this with numerous sat navs & smart phones & it does not move an inch at any speed.
I previously used a homemade mount on the front of my Oxford tank-bag but this was a little too high for my liking.
I am powering the devices via a marine grade 12V socket mounted just above the rev counter that I have wired into the front positioning light in the nose cone so it is a switched live & cannot drain the battery if the the device is left on with the ignition off.
