Cheap exhaust make over

Just gave my chrome cans a make over! Got some carbon vinyl wrap, put in on the cans got a couple of small aprilia performance stickers as well. Looks fantastic made the cans look brand new for under £20! Despite all the "you can't vinyl wrap an exhast it'll crack, burn crinkle mate" doubters out there who haven't actually tried it , it does actually work! Had a couple of ride outs and the carbon vinyl is fine !

Photo evidence please !!! i personally think this wouldnt work as after a good old thrash my ti akros are bleedin ' hot . well hot enough to wrinkle vinyl .

I may be wrong tho as the Akro stickers are vinyl and they are ok , but they a purpose made .

No idea how to get pics on here ! Im using a smart phone and can't work out how to get pics on!! My cans had arrow stickers on when I got the bike but there not arrows I would say they are A16 or similar but they work well and sound great! They get hot after a ride out but the vinyl is fine! The problem with forums is there is a lot of "advice " out there from people who think they know but haven't actually done it ! Try a patch of vinyl on one of your cans to check if it works on yours! At the end of the day my cans sound great and function perfectly this just gives then a new look without splashing hundreds to replace something that works fine!

I bought a second hand self coloured alloy micron end can for my zx6r some years ago which had been scratched. I covered it with carbon effect vinyl wrap. It has started to wrinkle a bit where the support band attaches. But other than that it works great and of cause the wrap can be replaced if required.

Good to know, been reading up on this on other forums, general thoughts are yes it works.

I've cored out my standard cans on my R1 and was wanting to carbon wrap them, think I'll give it a go :thumbup

Sorted the picture situation out! It's an old age thing ! Hammers and spanners easy peasy computers and such like **** my 50 year old brain don't like so much! !

Just look on ebay mate I just picked the first carbon effect vinyl in a big enough length I came across! It not special vinyl just the normal stuff they all sell! By the way the cans still look mint!
