currently running dunlop roadsmart 2 ..currently on 3200 miles and rear is almost gone which is awesome considering the stock pirelli rear lasted 1200 with the run in period involved in that to..have to put another roadsmart on as front still good but thinking about michelin pilot road 4 when ready for next pair ...reviews seem good and people running them on sports bike to so we,ll see when ready for them
cheers

Tyres is one of them things everyone has there favourite. I love the battlax T30's. But if you have found one you like stick with it

last december i fitted a pair of pilot road 3,s , and have done 4000 miles since and theres loadsa meat left .

bike was ragged round the highlands last year for 10 days ,and i found the pilot 3,s very very good espesh in the wet .

dont do track days but tend to be fast on the road ,and i,m very impressed with the wear rate and levels of grip .

would deffo buy these again .and there a bit cheaper than the pilot road 4,s .

Dunlop sportsmart are an excellent tyre, would be my first choice definitely. My new V4 has Michelin Pilot's on and I've only covered 230 miles as I run the engine in so can't really comment too much on them.
I wouldn't mind trying the metzlers as I've read very good reviews and if they're good enough for the TT then they can't be bad.
Dunlops will always be my default though.

I didn't like the stock tires at all. I put on a set of PP3s and didn't help or seem much better. I now have Q3s and love them. They seem to pull you through the corner.

I had Dunlop SportSmarts on my old Fireblade and they were great all round tyres. The Corsas on my V4 have only lasted half as long and can feel a bit squirmy at times, but they offer infinitely more grip once you get used to that. Both great tyres and depends on how you use the bike. Mine is a Sunday summer toy, so I'll be sticking with the Corsas.
