Change dash on my Gen1 Tuono

Hi, new here and a happy owner of a ´03 Tuono since 2013. Unfortunately I crashed it on a track day this summer and will rebuild the front a bit when I repair it, Looking to fit a smaller front fairing and would like a smaller and more modern dash as well. Gen2 instruments looks good but after some time on google I found out that it won´t fit the Gen1.

Is there a dash that works with the original connector on the gen1 or will I have to cut the cables to make it work? Anyone here who has done this swap?

Best regards
Marcus

next time i bin a bike - i'm getting one of those.... cheers Keith "encyclopedia" B :thumbup

Ok, thanks. I´m a bit scared about cutting the original cables, wouldn´t be surprised if I managed to screw it all up and never get it together again...

Since the bike runs fine with the dash disconnected I might just go for a GPS bike computer like this one: CC-GL10 | CATEYE
Backlight, speed measurement with gps and no need to cut the wires on the bike.. Only downside is that I loose the warning lights, but I think I can live with that.

U don't know what the Swedish laws day but in the UK we can't run a vehicle that has no distance recorder (odometer). With the GPS unit you are not permanently recording the distance the vehicle has travelled.

If I go for a bike computer I´ll mount the original dash when it´s time for the MOT ;)
