Chain & Sprocket replacement

Hi all,

Just wondering what chains and sprocket brands you good folks opt for when replacing?

I'm on an 06 RSV R and understand the chain to be a 525 pitch 106 link on standard gearing (16/40)?

I hear the X-ring is superior to the O-ring chains, but how heavy duty (stage 1 or 2) is necessary with the Aprilia's HP to cut down the amount of adjusting for stretch over the OE chain?

Any info gratefully received.

Afam or renthal chains for me matey, good life and minal stretch
afam or renthal sprox, or even stealth rear sprock.
Havent tried tsubaki and ive had two did chains snap on me.
At the momenr its a red afam
x ring and rethal sprx on the v4

Renthal chain and sprockets for me , although am on DID and Talon (as supplied by Griff) but not enough miles to do a comparisson yet.

PM Tash on here or call Griff (I am not sure what makes Tash does and Griff only does DID/Talon - as far as I am aware)

We can supply all makes, but would recomend renthal sprockets and renthal r4 srs chain, sold loads of sets and never had any problems or complaints with wear.

Bought mine from Mark ^^^ ages a go and still on the original rear sprocket and the chain barely stretches.
Granted the weathers been crap but I've been around Europe last year, Scotland twice this year and plenty thrashing in between. Would definitely buy again. It was the r4 renthal chain and sprockets by the way.
