Hi guys
Because I have now got the Mille this beloved bike of mine has to go so for any of you who want a good track day bike with Day Time MOT this has to be the one.
This is a CBR 600 FX 1999 which started out as a spares wet bike set up so it got little use it was prepared at a cost of £11k on top of the bike when you read the spec you will realize what has been done it is not a normal road bike changed it is the real thing.
The V5 is my name and I got it road legal so I could ride it out to bed brakes in try any new set up without wasting any time at a track day.
I have run it on a few open pit lane days and been able to use it all day without needing to charge the battery up which is needed because it runs a total loss system with no alternator.
It was dynoed at 106 bhp at the wheel so it is quite quick and with the reduced weight makes it lovely to handle.
I have enjoyed this bike but I have a new one now and did not really want to sell it but with one wife 2 bikes is apparently one too many.
It has always been kept in a nice garage and as you can see from the photos it is good condition a lot different from some so called track day bikes and the spec on it is really high.
I fitted a brake light connected to the front because as it stops really well and you ride with your mates you don’t want them running in to the back of you.
I could deliver for a price but would need full payment before I set off you could ride it home or transport it yourself.
You are welcome to come and look at the bike at my house in Stanford-le-hope which is 7 miles from M25 junction 30 on the Essex section Here is what the bike has:-
Tony Holmes prepared engine blue printed flowed and ported head which is dowelled.
HRC close ratio gear box
Rock oil full synthetic
520 chain and sprockets
Flat slide carbs
Quick action throttle
HRC wiring loom with total loss system
Titanium exhaust system pipes and art titanium can
Ohlins fork internals
Maxton rear shocker
Maxton steering damper
Harris adjustable footrests
Harris rear sub frame
Large capacity alloy fuel tank by ATG
Custom made crash bungs
Goodridge brake hoses
RR calipers and master cylinder
Front brake light switch
Horn for MOT
Cordless speedo
Carbon fibre front guard and fairing
Taxed till 05/09
MOT till 08/09
This has been totally reliable for me and starts on the button.
The price I am asking for this is £1800 but could do a deal with spares wheels with slicks and discs sprockets and a few bits and pieces with it for £2100 so if you know anyone that is interested get me through forum or PM
