I rang up about this bike during the last listing run, It is a hpi clear true 06 model.. but he took it as PX and didnt know what he was buying.
Its got 04 body work swapped over - probably damaged panels hence the carbon wrap
I asked him what was up with the body work.. he pretended to not know what i was talking about, but later in the convo admitted someone viewed the bike and they had come to the same conclusion together...
my check revealed at least 18k miles on it..
meh.. could be cosmetic only..
BUT also got an 04 set of clocks.. as they reset when he started the bike on a dead battery
okay,. so perhaps just a good knock on the nose??
Also has 04 wheels on it, all 06 were gold anno.. and no one insists the wheels go with sale of a bodykit.. so it must have hit had enough to damage the wheels.
He had no idea what had happened to it, seller told him nothing, so who knows what other parts maybe tail frame, forks etc and who knows what mileage the donor bike may have done.
At best its an 06 frame with the newer engine (EFi, bigger valves) 18k miles, and an 04 bodykit.. (if its been fitted perfectly.. not bodged on)
I'm sure you are all wise enough to spot most of this, but if this helps one person or saves someones time..
