Hi guys just bought some carbon fiber swingarm protectors whats the best adhesive to stick them to the swingarm with without worrying about one coming off whilst out on the bike??cheers.

don't think i'd try that one mate. maybe it will hold, maybe it wont. if you don't want to be worrying about it coming off, do the job properly :thumbup silicone would probably work out more expensive anyway. and its a lot less professional and could be much harder to get off if you want to remove them

The number plate adhesive pads are the way to go. I didn't use them on mine, just a dab of silicon and a few months ago the carbon swing arm protector parted company with my Mille at high speed on the motorway, never to be seen again despite me backtracking and having a look for it. That said, the silicon did a reasonable job as the thing had been fitted for about 2 years without any hassle. However when I source a replacement I'll be using adhesive pads this time to make sure it stays put. I was really annoyed as it was an expensive Carbo-Tek protector with integral chain guard that cost me £130, you can see it on my bike from a couple of years ago prior to me fitting the twin Renegade system, had a Blue flame can back then :-

Nice looking machine pal just spent a small fortune tarting mine up a bit,new forks,old ones battered with stone chips,tuono rear wheel red one was going to powder coat but opted for a genuine one,carbon hugger,carbon front mud guard,swingarm protectors,and some gold grills to protect oil and radiator etc !! But must say you new cans look the bollocks mate!!! 600 ish in last 2 weeks trying to make it look better its getting there.
