I use these.
Double sided sticky tape won't cut it, as no matter how precisely moulded the protectors are, there will still be a gap between them and the swingarm itself, no matter how small, and this gap will generally be too wide for simple double sided sticky tape.
These pads are v sticky, and fill the gap quite handily as well. The only problem is that if you use them sparingly, or if they get wet, they're prone to coming unstuck, so buy a couple of sets.
Another thing to be aware of is to check the length of your rearset heelplate/lever bolts. If they protrude too far to the other side of the rearset, they may actually leave small scratches in the swingarm protector.
A little water clears said scratches up, and they're not readily visible, but they are an annoyance.
See at the very rear tip of the protector, you end up with that long triangular bit above the chain adjuster bit? Yours will have something similar I think...
It's worth cutting a small strip off one of the foam pads, and using that to stick the very tip down, otherwise you might end up with it floating above the swingarm. Nothing major, but enough to be noticable.
Also, and finally, these things are very precisely moulded. Try a dry fitting without adhesive or two first, just offer them up, so you can see how they need to be positioned. Anything but the correct position will end up with em not fitting. A good fit isn't good enough, these things should fit perfectly (bearing in mind what I said earlier) - You'll be able to tell which is which
. You'll probably benefit from removing the footpegs and their hangers, or at least unbolting them and lifting them out of the way while you're fitting them.
Look nice though, don't they
. I fancy a set for the Mille
