Here's my brand new Caponord 1200 Travel Pack back in 03/2015.
2nd pic shows a few accessories onboard after 2 yrs ownership and 39,000kms.
I fitted an MRA tinted screen with adjustable spoiler, H&B crash bars, 190/55 rear tyre, DIY remounted the ugly spray guard higher, so it formed a proper hugger style guard and was less in view. It worked well in rain!
My Capo always consumed oil, dissapointed with that as it should not be acceptable - my KTM1290SDGT and then Ducati V4Multistrada S and now V4Rally DO NOT USE ANY OIL AT ALL, PERIOD!
That said, the Caponord was a smooth tourer, though the aerodynamics around the screen were terrible, it was way ahead of the most advanced Ducati Multistrada 1200 with cruise control and heated grips standard. Capo had amazing auto suspension but poor headlights. It only had 105hp but was super smooth. The 190/55 rear tyre helped sort the poor ground clearance issue (scraping center stand on moderate lean angles).
It's resale was terrible, and spares didn't exist when the alternator faulted just short of 2 years (eg, still in warranty), so I had to pay for a rewind to get back on the road within 3 wks.
Traded in for the 150Hp KTM 1290GT in 2017, then in 2021 Ducati finally built a V4 without Desmo or belts. I put 51k kms on that Ducsti multistrada and in late 24, upgraded to their V4Rally.....perfect bike!
Loved my Aprilia......but......the factory didn't stick with the model long enough to iron out the bugs and develope a world class leading sport tourer - Ducati must have been watching and took the lead after Aprilia quit......
