Got a quote from MCE on 10th of Jan for £422.00 TPFT which is ok as the highest quote was £19000.00 odd (I sh*t u not). I have lost all my no claims as last time I had bike insurance was 3 years ago. When I rang to take the policy out MCE quoted me £1922.00 only I had quote e-mailed to me I was screwed, apparently theres a big increase in bike insurance I was lucky and made it by 2 days otherwise I was paying the £1922.00 odds!!

So bike insured money in hand woke up all excited to go and get the bike and theres 6 inches of feckin snow on the road grrrrrrrrrrr!!!

just had a quote of £218 and they have also sent me an email sayin that they can do it lower......

how the hell did i get such a cheap quote im 22 - 0 no claims and only pay something like £560 full comp

TPFT was £430

I live in Northern Ireland where insurance is a nightmare. In a whiplash claim the general payout is aroun £3500 to £5000 therefore insurance premiums are a lot higher. Im 35 and live in a good area alas no no claims bonus hits me.

38,bike wrote off 3 yrs ago,03 mille R & Gasser 300EC enduro, both fully comp same policy £230 the pair, A Quote Norich Union policy, living in Cornwall

Im with mce..... 28years coming 29 FC insurance, pillion, to work and wotever, 8 thousand miles a year cover.... lived 9 years abroad in holland and belgium but no no-claims to show and they quoted me 560?????

South Belfast (gods country)

Was over there couple of months ago, stayed in the Tara Lodge hotel and met up with a fellow RSV mate who works in Belfast and lives at Eglinton, got pissed as a pissed thing doing the bars etc.:pirate

Was also over at Kirkistown last year doin a track day with him and some other mates of his, there does not seem to be many Aprilias in NI at all, my mate actually races his in clubmans events.

Welcome to the site fella, oh and god's country is Scotland followed closely by Ireland:devious

Im with MCE this year......same for me no bonus at all, after parking my MV F4 into a tree last year I had renewal quotes from £1400 top wack....down to £426 fully comp with MCE...but then I have age on my side (41)

35 years young, got it insured for £422 TPFT so happy enough (ish)!! If i'm off work i'll probably go. Anytime i've went its turned into a hazzy blurr.... Not really into road racing to be honest there used to be good short circuit racing here but i've kinda lost touch with the happenings. A few of the circuits have closed (I think) Mainly Kirkistown and Bishopscourt now.

Thats a brave gallop from Eglinton to Belfast is he a cop?? Plenty of bars in Belfast mate, fed up lookin at them! Last track days I did was Kirkistown on a TL1000S which was interesting, had a go at the RS250 Aprilia challenge and was utter *****, musta crashed about 27 times. Makes you respect speed and the fact that all of a sudden your on your arse!! Great days (and expensive) though. Not that many Aprilia's and I just found out there are no Aprilia dealers in N Ireland.. :dowhat Hence next thread.

Sound like i got off alright with my insurance this year.

I'm 25 been riding for 4 years, had 2 years no claims up until last year when i totaled my 2005 zx636. Lost all my NCB.
Starting from scratch again. just cost me 580 fully comp on my mille. Was thinking i might of had to sell her and get a smaller bike. So i'm happy now
