Sorry sir
A rear will fit - the swing arm will nip up once you tighten it, but the front wheel will be too wide as the disc centres are different on the radial braked models. You need to machine 2.5mm off the face of the disc mounting surface. (easy job if you know a machine shop)
BUT.
That wheel is a cast wheel - It is NOT an OZ wheel it is a stock wheel off a late model RSV-R, hence the price.
Oz wheels are getting expensive on Ebay at the minute - I only paid £400 for mine - sell the brembos as wets/spares for about £150 - £200 and it's not so painfull.
These wheels will be a straight fit, shame about the colour
These wheels will be a straight fit, shame about the colour. This guy is breaking a 2001 R model (Factory in todays money) - If you are after an Ohlins for the rear it might be worth the call.
It's a terrible affliction this need to bolt bits onto Aprilia's :yes
Yup i knew it was not an Oz. Don't worry about that.
The front isn't on there so isn't a factor.
"the swing arm will nip up when you tighten it?"
Explain mate.
Offsets on the later model wheels aren't exactly the same, but a few lads on the AF1 forum have used late model wheels and the few mm difference disappears when you tighten the rear spindle.
If you simply want red wheels - I have a set of Brembo's in my shed - I'll do a swap & flog yours on Ebay instead.
Found a pic...
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that won't be happening.
Red on black bike looks a LOT better than the red on the red bike.
