Hello I'm new here and Im from Holland (Europe) and hope you guys can help me out.
Is it possible to remove the clutch pushrod without doing any harm to the engines functionality?
Of course the opening behind the clutch slave cylinder will be sealed.
The engine is a '99er I think. At least it's from the first series of Milles.
The reason I ask is that I'm building the engine in a small speedboat.
I will not need the clutch that bad because I will keep it in one gear and idling the thrust power of the jet will be low.
I would have rather kept it working but to center/lower the engine as much as possible I will need to run the chain in front of the clutchrod. I can upload some pictures if you're interested.
I understand this is not a regular question but maybe somebody here has removed the rod with an oil leakage and knows if this is possible or not. The rod pushes the clutch plates from eachother and I thought that whe I leave it out it might still work? Or does it keep one part in position? Let me know! Thanks.
