Hi Guys,
I collect a 2003 Touno RSV with 26k on the clock this Saturday.
The Guy has given me a Titanium can! Marked for racing only? and a Chipp 549 EUROKAT C.
Could anyone advise me if this Chip would be ok to install with the standard Can setup.
The Bike looks bog standard and the Bonus is I only paid 1,000 euros for it.
I Well chuffed.
any advice would be appreciated. also what is the difference between the Touno 1000 and the Touno RSV?
My Log book states "Rotax" Engine ! is that a good motor or no?
Thanks Len.

549 EUROKAT C is the standard chip as supplied by the factory from new.Sounds like yours has been replaced at some time.If the bike is running fine,I would'nt bother putting that back in.

Sounds to be good to be true,...is it a 'proper' Tuono or a converted Mille?

Bit of a misnomer to say Tuono RSV.They are two separate models. The Tuono is basically a stripped down RSV,hence Tuono RSV.
A 2003 bike would be a RSV Tuono 1000 or Streetfighter.
From 2004 onwards the base Tuono was named the Tuono 1000R
All RSV Mille,Tuono and Falco engines are made by Rotax in Austria. They are usually pretty much bullet proof.
Hope that helps.

Welcome to the site mate.

Sounds like a hell of a bargain to me , if its what it says it is on the tin ? :thumbu

Hi Guys!
Thanks for your knowledge, its a Spanish bike as i live in mallorca!
On the log book it Says RSV Touno.
It looks great, will post pics when it been stripped and sorted.
Thanks again Len.

Hi Guys!
I have taken a Photo so maybe you can tell me exactly which model it is and if its a good bike
on the Logbook it states : RSV Mille Touno, but we are talking Spanish documents LOL.
My mates New Woman said it has to GO!( I love her already!) Hence the very cheep price: 1,000
He has owned it 7 years and an mechanic at Aprilia owned it for 3 years from new.
I am Currently trying to sort a prob with the indicators which all four come on at once without flashing???
I am having a task trying to find the correct PDF manual so that i can set the Dash controls up.
Been browsing through all the information on the forum as this is my first Aprilia and want to sort it and Know it.
Best regards Len.

Thanks Keith B
Sorted the Indicators.
The Guy before me had been trying to install a Unit which uses the indicators at the rear as additional brake lights (Like the Harley Boys) fit to their Tractors.
Ripped it out and removed the Duel LED rear flashers and fitted Normal Lamps all around, and it worked fine.s Len.
Regard Len.
