As promised, here's the link to a short video recorded at Cadwell on Sunday on the cheap (£13) MD80 DV camera I mentioned on a previous post. The camera was sat behind my screen and only held with blue tack. You can here some crackling noise and I think this is from the blue tack being positioned on top of the camera and over the small mic. Let me know your thoughts, good :yes or bad :bawling

Ha! Ha! Track days can be risky when riding your pride and joy (as I found out) but the chance to ride the machine hard without the risk of hitting anything coming the other way far outways the risk and besides, you don't have to ride it flat out, just go round at your own pace. Try it, you will love it :thumbup

Jesus, Tone, yer as lazy as I am on the brakes... heh heh.... I suck *** at racing as I use to much engine braking with the T and got used to it. Our little track is a second gear track with a shift into third on the back stretch. The fun thing about the T, is that with all that torque, you can let it roll out of a corner at low revs and then spin it up on the straights. Cadwell looks like a blast. I wish I could join you!

You never know, shovelheadwolf, maybe one day you will.
By the way, I know what you mean about lazy on the brakes, I think I'm like you on that score cos I had nothing but Aprilia's for the last few years and I too am used to the engine braking!

Nice one tone, brought back some great memories of our recent blast at cadwell, trying to follow Batfastard was good fun if a little daunting.....he is seriously good around that track !! I can still see him black lining out on to the back straight..

Batfastard is just that. A little to self deprecating given the knowledge base and the skillset shown on the track... ****** lets his riding do the talking... How in the hell am I supposed to compete with bluster and ******** when he just quietly takes care of business.

PS: Let's see if we can get him tae run with a cam for a lap er twa!!

nice1, TT. A take it your runnin with the fast lads in the top group

That's right mate. I have to thank Dan for that. I had only done one track day before, two years ago at Cadwell and that was in the Novice group! Dan told me I had to book in the fast group to get the discount offered with the booking code I had so I thought okay, they will probably drop me down into the inters after the first session but they didn't. I managed to hold my own with some of the group but there were some seriously fast riders in that group as well. Still, they didn't drop me down so I must have been doing okay :cheers

Well I have never even entertained doing a track day but that looks like great fun. Not much chance to open her up on that track though is there. You did flipping well to jump to fast after only one track day though :thumbup

On the Tuono your hitting 120-5 on the start finish straight and 130-5 on the back straight. Not the fastest circuit but very entertaining and fun.

If you have never done a trackday you should, you learn so much about the bike and it improves your road riding no end.

This may be a blonde question but if you ride to the circuit, can you buy petrol there cos even filling up as close to the venue as possible the tank wont last long when booting it. I get 90 miles till the light comes on and thats on the road

i did cadwell a few years ago (novice) was good fun but found i lost intreset with road riding. Bumps potholes and gravel around every turn.
a will do it again sometime but a wont be jumpin 2 groups. Well done fella.

You get 90 miles till the light comes on?! I olny get 70 :rolleyes

Yes they do sell fuel there but its like 1:80 a litre or something stupid :eek

There is a place down the road about a mile that sells fuel cash only. Louth is not far away either.

hell that was exciting **** right there!

I was urging you on and when the dude wheelied past I may even have weed a bitty

Going from slow to fast (I 've NEVER done a track day) is quite something and I noticed that when you had a target you were carrying more speed and revs into the corners?

Great post and we never mentioned the bargain camera ... superb value

Welly, i was pissed when that ******* wheelied past at 1:40'. I was rootin' for tone and wanted him to give chase and STUFF that **********...

GO TONE!!!!

more vids please.

Nice footage - bit jumpy, but at £13 who can complain? :thuimbup

Was at Cadders yesterday - drizzled all day, never got a proper dry lap, but it was still a bit off fun chasing the sports bike owners etc. :yes

I keep telling you, this thing with the darkies out of corners - Tuono's do that - honest. :dunno

Haven't done any video footage off the Factory, need to get that sorted sometime.

The little garage in Scamblesby that time forgot - he is selling left over avgas from WWII american bombers I reckon. You need white fivers and a wartime fuel ration coupon to go there :)

It was £1.40 per litre at the track yesterday - as it was damp I managed 5 sessions on one fill, usually fuel light comes on in 4th session if I top off just before I join the circuit, which is about the 70 miles mark (20 min session is about 10 laps per session - 2.2miles per lap) I usually ride to the Total station back in Louth between sessions.
