Guys, wot can I say, I'm still grinning from ear to ear! Wot a fantastic day and the weather was brilliant too.

A big thank you to Badger for his advice. I took note of it and my bike felt as if it was on rails.

As this was my first track day I was very nervous and a little concerned I would be holding everyone up but I think I held my own. My best lap was a 2.03 and I was quite pleased with that considering I was riding my road bike and I needed it to get home!

Only had one little incident in the first session but that was my own fault as I hadn't learned the track and pushed it too much early on. I went in too wide on the right hander after the mountain and couldn't make the left so had to go across the grass. I managed to keep it upright though, thank god! Slowed me down a bit for a couple of laps until my confidence came back.

Here's some pictures:

Hope you like them. :thumbup

Just want to say Hi to Olek. Met up with him on the day and seems a top bloke. Hope you better soon mate.

Forgot to mention, the Aprilia Titanium racing cans just passed the noise test. Had to rev it to 5500 and it measured 103db. I know I'm biased but I think it was the best sounding bike out there except for the other two Ape's that were there of course!

Glad to hear you got a good day mate, the big problem now is you will want to go back and do it over and over and over again, great pics to, i see you must have been looking at my track pics coz you cover the clutch with one finger just like me:thumbup

Nice pics buddy :thumbup, glad you had fun....
and from an unbiased viewpoint yes!! your Bike Sounds Sweet as a nut!!! Drowning out all those puny jap IL4's:devious:doug

I got Cadwell to look forward to in a few weeks...been there before but only did the short circuit. Any tips for the Mountain????

go up the left hand side as there seems to be less of a peak and the bike wont lift so much. Dont forget everyone will be watching from the cafe waiting to see who over cooks it. You can get some good drive at the bottom so just take your time and get used to it.

Oh yeah sorry, rsvtone, the pics are tops, good lookin bike an'all. im glad you enjoyed it in the sunshine. You'll be looking at Cadwell suspension settings next! What tyres are they? Look Pirelli ish?

Your right Gixer, Pirelli Diablo Corsa's. Great tyres, never got out of shape once, mind you, I probably didn't push them as much as I could have done!

Badger, I didn't even realise I did cover the clutch with one finger until I saw the pics! Mind you, if its good enough for you mate then its good enough for me.

Olek, nice meeting you mate, thanks for the kind comments, hope we can meet up again sometime.

Superted, None planned or booked as yet but I've got the bug and can't wait till the next time.
