Let's see if this works.

A bit of footage from the Tuoldo - FWIW I was held up by the Gixxer, so I slow down on the straight to find some empty track.

Hormone Replacement Therapy at Cadwell. Jonathan Palmer thinks of everything, doesn't he? ;)

Who was that **** indicating ????????????????????????????
What was he doing, pulling in at the ****** shops,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Perhaps the guy on the Suzuki was waiting for you to catch up to have a race ;)

Fat knob was giving it the berries on the straights, but holding me up everywhere else.

I saw him at a trackday this year on the new toy, I actually have that little bit extra power to get ahead and stay there.

Same as most of the Gixxer riders on the roads to. Cane it on the straights only to hold you back on the straight bits. Had some ***** in front of us the other day hanging off and getting the knee out going around corners on the country roads we usually use doing 40mph. In the end we all overtook without hanging off going into the corners and when we got to the cafe stop everyone all said the same thing at the same time "What on earth was that ******* nob on the R6 doing". Then he stopped at the same place as us in his colourful leathers walked into the cafe as if he was Valentino Rossi and we were like "Oh my god what an *****".

In fact if you'd given me a half decent scooter that would have done 70 and I could have overtook him on the twisties.

Cane it on the straights only to hold you back on the bends". oooops

Meant to say hold you back on the bends

I'm so jealous of you rat *******s in the UK with a nice big track like that!!!
And this underlines my opinion that most of those ******** on litre bikes can't ride the ******* things. Any piece of **** can twist the throttle in the straight. Let's see how fast you can corner Mr Gixxer... *******.

Cadwell is pretty small by UK standards, it's quite narrow, the track is only about 6m wide. The lap is a tad over 2 miles.

If you compare with Silverstone or Donington et al which are more like 10-12m wide and nearer 3 miles long it's tiny.

It's not really a power track as you can only really get on flat chat down the two straights, most of the time you are having to manage the throttle because of all the twists. It is regarded as a "technical" track, mostly because of the Gooseneck.

The Video starts at the old hairpin, down the short straight and into the right hander at Barn, leading out onto the Start/Finish straight. At the end of the straight you have an uphill left hander, Coppice, which the BSB boys take at about 130mph, I've done it at about 120 and that's enough for me, usually go in at about 110 tbh. It then climbs steeply into the right hand blind summit of the double corner of Charlies 1 & 2, which cannot be taken as one, despite some articles claiming they can. On the footage I don't get on the gas early enough in Charlies 2 so the Gixxer really mullah's me on Park Straight, but I can catch up a bit of ground braking into park, the 50mph right hander at the end of Park Straight, this feeds straight into Chris Curve which is a long sweeper, where you have to watch your speed as you need to scrub off some pace as the corner tightens and then switches to the left hander that is the Gooseneck. Get it right through here and the positive camber has the kerbs flying past your left elbow, I really love this bit of the circuit. This drops you into the short downhill approach to Mansfield a deceptive left hander just before the chicane. Cold tyres get punished here its one of only 3 left handers on the circuit, and being downhill, it is off camber. I binned the Tuoldo here in 06. The Chicane is a noddy device to slow people down approaching the mountain, after one of the BSB riders was nearly killed there. Slow in fast out, watch for the highside on exit if you spin the rear up. The Mountain, is a left right combo that you enter tight on the left kerbs using the camber to slingshot in, flicking the bike over to the right and up over the Mountain itself. Keep out of the left as the track is still turning right over the crest, the slight dip in the paving before the crest will loft the front wheel effortlessly in second on a Tuono, just cover the back brake in case it gets too wild. Over to the left of the circuit past the track entry point and through the right/left/right/left of Hall bends and into the tight right hander of the Old Hairpin. It's a slow corner - take it slowly, you gain **** all and people so often deck there P&J's here. Exiting the Hairpin onto the short straight, which is where we came in.

My track is 1.2 miles long, and the record is now 57' set by a kid that is going to be a talent on the Canadian racing scene. We have to share as originally, and still is, a go-kart track. I shouldnae complain as the asphalt is smooth with minimal rippling, cracks, or concrete. IT has fantastic safety run outs and is a fun technical track to play on. Very suited to smaller displacement, motarded, or twin bikes. Andimao does the track in second gear... Point and shoot.

Another Cadwell video

Picture quality is a bit grainy, but here's a clip from Bike Magazine's trackday at Cadwell on August 17th.

Filmed by my brother on his Z1000, I come past him at about 40 seconds after the start of the clip.
