Cadwell Park rocks!!!

Had an awesome day up at Cadwell park last Thursday. The mountain stretch took some getting used to but was soon blitzing over it with the front wheel a few feet in the air for the 50 meter stretch into the next bend :thumbup (See pics)

Question: The bike was rock solid all day and I have def got my suspension on the factory well and truely sorted! :cheers Only slight niggle was a sort of lurching when holding the revs on a fastish (100 mph) right hand sweepy. I could feel the engine creating feedback through the bike, like the sort of unsettling you get when going from no revs to throttle on.

Just wondered if this was a normal V twin sympton, or perhaps to much play in the chain or something worse??? lose engine bolt or whatever. :crazy

Class pics mate.
What revs are you at when you get this lurching? It could be you are hitting the rev limiter.

This was a 3rd gear bend with the revs held at around 8000 rpm (90 mph). I would instantly notice the rev limiter which is a totally different sensation. This is more a pulsing of the engine which you can feel only when the engine is being held at a constant revolution.

If you are pouring on the power or using engine braking it isnt there.

nice airtime there troytheboy. its a great place enjoyed it when i did one on the old cbr600:)

Not my favourite track to be honest, although it's not stopped me riding it for about 15 trackdays over the past several years. I can see why people love it, however for me trackdays was always about getting faster, and i never quite managed it there.

It is though in some ways the most enjoyable track in the UK.

Troy - which bend was unsettling the bike?

I live near Cadwell, so visit the track regularly, and my Tuono is pretty stable in all the right handers, it does nod it's head a bit on the sweep up Coppice (left hander end of start/finish straight), but otherwise is so suited to that track it's just top fun.

Hi Paul,

It was around Chris curve in 3rd gear just sitting at 8K (90 mph) or so. I think I have found the problem!!!

I have a MEGA tight spot on my chain. Like when I spin the wheel on the paddock stand it actual brings the wheel to a quick holt on the first revoultion. This part of the chain has no give at all and feels like about 6 links have been welded together??? Not good.

My assumption is that when I am just holding the revs stable and the bike is real settled I can feel this tight sport as a pulsing through the bike???

Anyway will go for a new chain and may go up a couple on the rear sproket while I am at it then see how it feels.

Anyone got any suggestions on where to get a chain a sproket replacement? Plus who as gone to a 15/43 gearing on a Gen2?? feeback appreciated

Wot he said.

B&C - not far from Cadwell themselves - top people.

I think a few of the lads on AF1's site run 15:43 with no problem. I run 16:44 on the Tuoldo which is pretty similar
