bye-bye licence plate and rear hugger!

well that impressed me..........not. a rolling burnout with a few figure of eights, or writing his name would be impressive..

gordy.

the tires needed to be changed (i go through 3-4 sets per season, roughly every 5000 kms or 3000 miles) and the bike was scheduled a big-bore kit this winter, crank balance, new bearings, new heads, new tb's, etc. still moding it right now. i've tried to kill the bike (i also own a suzuki rf, great sports-tourer) just so i could start modding it sooner. wheelied whenever possible, coming out of corners or in a straight line, hitting the rev limiter almost every time i changed gears up or down (i've disbled the so-called slipper clutch), took the silencer off and revved the hell out of it in neutral at bike meets (i've also won two "loudest bike" contests) for about 20000 kms or 12500 miles. it just wouldn't die! :) very reliable engine! when i took it apart everything was in spec. camshafts, pistons, cylinders, rings, etc. on a 56.000 km bike. since it's a 2000 bike i'm sure the real mileage is way higher. oh, i change the oil and filter at every 5000 kms and at every 7500 kms i do every check-up and/or adjustment needed. i always did. i'm sure the maintenance also played a role in the engine not dying. the oil is silkolene comp4 15-50 and on top of that i use an automotive liqui-moly mos2 additive. i've learned about 5 years ago that clutch slippage is only a myth and it occurs only when the clutch is dead or dying. also the mos2 additive appears in every trybology book i've ever read.

p.s. the licence plate being torn apart was a bonus, in romania it's like a national sport for bikers to run from the police. nobody gets caught either. not surprisingly though, they have the dacia logan dci. LOL. and the (few) motorcycles they have are very lazy bmw 1200's. so basically they can't do a thing.
