Hello guys, this is my first visit here, so nice meeting you all :)
I'm seriously considering a new Tuono. Actually, already gave a deposit and now am waiting for it's arrival to Canada....
recently sold my bandit 1200. looked for a bike that I'll have more fun with, preferably Italian. Aprilia came to my mind and then I discovered for myself Tuono. took the 2012 one from the dealer for 2 hoers test drive, and (despite the too stiff saddle) got addicted to it :). I mostly drive in city (Toronto area) and need a bike for commute + short trips. rationally thinking, Tuono probably would be too much for my needs, but from other side, it's an extremely pleasurable and breath-taking bike. based on 2014 model upgrades, it supposed to be more suitable for daily use. considering that it's supposed to be my only bike, would be very much interested to hear your opinion regarding my choice!!!

forgot to mention, I'm 39, mature driver with several years of riding experience.

Welcome!

I've owned a 2013 V4 for a couple of months now and it is an amazing bike. I'm sure you won't regret it.

As it happens, I also own a Bandit 600 that I use as a commuter. The Tuono is nothing like it in any respect :lol

hey Mikkel, tnx for the feedback. so you have two bikes, Tuono for fun and bandit600 for commute purposes!? is Tuono ok for daily use in hwy/city?

My Tuono is a weekend toy, so not used it as a commuter. However, stick it in the road map (APRC) and it will be fine around town. It is a very versatile bike. If using on the motorways, then you'll need a screen but again it will eat the miles up.

It is comfortable, but not bandit comfortable. It'll only do around 30 mpg though and my 2013 model only has a tank range of 90-100 miles. They are increasing the tank size for 2014.

thanks for the feedback! yes, in the new model the tank is larger and the saddle supposed to be more comfy . they also reduced the first three gears ratio. I guess all these upgrades make it more suitable for daily use!?
