after intermittent success starting my bike over the last couple of weeks since buying it changing the battery starter soleniod and giving it a good service plugs filters oil change
i've now found the 3 phase wires to the regulator were burnt out at the connector.
has anyone else had this problem at all?

the bike was started for a couple of minutes this afternoon and the repaired wires were already getting hot
the dealership mechanic said there maybe an earthing problem with the alternator when he was asked why the connector would have burnt out.

any help greatly appreciated as i just want the bike on the road as i've had it for 2 weeks and ridden it twice due to the bike not starting half the time :bawling

Basically the connectors are rubbish and if you solder them together and add an extra wire to suppliment the connectors all will be good.:biggrin

Common problem with these bikes mate.

PS. The wires do get hot anyhow during normal running, as long as they don't melt then they'll be fine.
