Hello People who love Prillers. I have just joined the RSVzone today. I have an RSV and an ex raced RSVR. I have swapped the STM slipper clutch and airbox modification from the RSVR onto the RSV which now pours smoke and oil from the exhaust especially when blipping the throttle. Otherwise bike runs and sounds well. I have seen black oil seeping from the rear cylinders' exhaust join. The rear cylinder still has compression but oil is pooling when rocker cover removed for inpection especially around one of the exhaust valves. I do not understand how oil is being introduced into the rear cylinders' exaust pipe. Please help and Best wishes to all!

Welcome to the forum
Head gasket knacked
Valve seals/Guides worn
Piston rings worn
Scored cylinder

All routes into exhaust.
Hope you get it sorted with minimum fuss and cost :thumbup

Firstly, welcome to the forum.

By the very design of the engine you'll get oil pooling around the area you mention, lowest point/gravity and all that.

You say that oil is seeping from the exhaust, then it can only really be two defects.

Oil control ring on the piston has failed or the exhaust valve seals have failed or a combination of the two. (Unlikely both)

I'm afraid it's going to be a pig to diagnose from afar, it may be best to PM Griff if you're in the UK to see if he can look at it for you.

Oil burner

Thanks for the help. I'll investigate the exhaust valve seals first then!
