Brown connector mod on early RSV ?

A friend of mine mentioned to me that he has recently done the "Brown connector mod" on this 06 RSVR as his has burnt out, it now starts alot better.

Can this mod be done on the earlier RSV ?, anything to increase the voltage when starting has to be good thing on these bikes !!!

no to the earlier models and 06 bikes already have the main dodgy connector removed. they only have 1 connector at the rectifier which is not normally a problem whereas pre 06 had 2 with the one between cylinders the problem area.

The earlier bikes do benefit slightly from the futura mod which runs additional wire to the battery from the rectifier to increase charge voltage.

checked with my mate, his bikes a 05 model, 06 reg.

Think i might give the Fututra mod a try !!!
