Just to start, it was the bike not me personally!
Had a good run up to Stanhope and back, only the second or third distance ride since I got the bike. Heading back aproaching a roundabout the car in front slowed down to allow me past, so sailing past giving a wave I took the roundabout only for the engine to die mid-way through, of course my mate who was in front was blissfully unaware and sailed off in the distance.
So I coasted out and then stopped, would not fire up and once I had took my ear plugs out listened for the fuel pump - which was silent!
Checked fuses, the connector which has given me problems in the past. At this point I'm so pleased I sourced a tool kit off Ebay. Just about to throw the towel in and I spotted a broken wire which must have been off the old disconnected alarm.
Rejoined it and bingo!
Next job is a soldering iron and heat shrink and suspicious wires.
Not that the guy will see this, a big thanks to the Fireblade (I think) who turned around to make sure I was OK.
