Not too much money just no kids to bleed us dry :nana :biggrin

Sounds like a good plan Tim, I think there has been a big meet at Gordano (sp?) motorway services over the past few years with a ride into Bristol from there.

Bristol Italian AutoMoto Festival
Saturday April 24th 2010
www.biamf.co.uk

It is that time of year again and so we proudly announce the dates for the Eighth Bristol Italian Automoto Festival (BIAMF).

The Festival is the best free event for Italian vehicle enthusiasts in the country. Focussed around Corn Street in Bristol's Italianate City Centre, the bikes and cars will be parked 'Latin Style' in what will be the most charismatic, City Centre Moto festival the Country will experience all year. The morning and afternoon “Start your engines” sessions, will make the 'Old City' shake to the sounds of pent-up horsepower, unleashed for the joyous appreciation of the owners and spectators alike.

The BIAMF will take place in Bristol City Centre on Saturday, April 24th and will have Alfa Romeo as the featured car marque in honour of the centenary of one of the best-loved makes in the history of motoring. Aprilia, who have achieved over 40 World Championships in their relatively short history, will be our featured two-wheeler marque.

Planning is in progress and details of how to enter will be appearing shortly, so watch the website! Prospective entrants should make early contact as spaces will be limited.

All Show & Car related enquiries should be directed to Paul Hanmore of the ‘Italian AutoMoto Club’ (www.ItalianAutoMotoClub.co.uk); [email protected]

The Bike Zone will again be organised by the Ducati Owners Club, Bristol Branch. Any enquiries specific to the bikes should be made to Sean Good (www.docgb.org); [email protected]

As for the arrangements for the Ride-In, as Aprilia is the featured Marque we will be joining the Official Meet at Gordano Services and then leading the Official Ride-In into the centre of Bristol. I will post up more details of the time and schedule for this meet and the route for the ride in as the details become available.

I'm going providing it stays dry. I reckon the RAC and AA are shitting themselves, all those unpredictable italian machines in one place, could be a busy day for them :devious

Hey Goody, do we need to sign up to say that we will be coming or is it more of a relaxed affair with the bikes?

Hiya Barry,

No it is quite a relaxed affair and we'll see how many we have up at Gordano.

The only thing that has changed is that we have been really proud to promote this event as a free event but unfortunately with normal inflation we are now going to be suggesting that there is a £1 donation from each bike. This will simply be collected upon arrival, parking, and de-bus in the centre of town.

It is just that the show normally costs around £500, and with the current econmic climate we now need to find alternative sources to cover this cost.

I have no problems with donations; its still the cheapest days parking you will ever get in Bristol. :biggrin
