Brands hatch track day on mille

V

V_senna

The bike performed superb, the surface at Clark Curve was shagged and I kept looking at the tarmac on that bend for marks from Craigs fatal crash for some reason.

Anywho, All in All a proper good day, coming out of the last bend I struggled like f**k to get back on the seat for the start/finish straight, so much bloody grunt!!!

Was suppose to have track fairings for it, but only found a silver nose cone in time so just stuck that on.

I've got a couple of onboard vids i'll upload later.

Well u aint gonna see in those mirriors with them like that r u !!!

Nice1 !! Good Pictures 2 !!

What gearing were you using for Brands and was it the GP or short circuit?

Don't know whether you done it or not but if you screw up the idle to 2000rpm it helps on the track.

When i was there last year that corner had some rough gouges in the surface as you were wanting to start drifting out, had a bit of a big slide when i hit it, after that i kept to the inside of it.

Appologies to the two of you that did brands yesterday, i had intended showing my face to say hello have a coffee, and watch some action.
however last nights night shift ended up being alot more eventfull than expected, what with having the mother of all storms, causing much running around all night. didn't have the rest i wanted. the weather still looked suspect at home up until 1pm when it started raining, so back to bed i went ready for this night shift.
quiet tonight, always the way when you make plans, could have done with this shift last night.
any how hopefully meet up soon. if the weather is any better today may go for a coffee at Burnham, or the green hut in epping.
Pics look good by the way, brings back memories when i did it on my ZX7R.
How awsome is paddock hill. :thumbup Takes some beating, the sensation of dragging your knee down there.

clark curve (last corner) was shocking, I was on a neutral throttle through there until it cleared up, had the rear spin up a couple of times coming out of paddock, but all good :D

thanks for the comments!

fantastic shots buddy, and very good form!
having that silver nose cone will have shaved 10 seconds per lap you know,
just through having a touch of the fastest colour on the bike.a very clever move.lol

quality pics mate and a wicked Vid you were killing them out there haha true RSV owner :bigsmile

Cool videos, can't see that the rain made that much of a difference to your day. :thumbup

Love the way you carved up the slow riders, look down the right side, they move right then you dart down the inside, class move. :devious

thanks lol, it only rained for half a session just before lunch, I was running low on fuel so only had an early lunch, track was completely dry after that, so weather was great :D

Nice track day Vid, looks like you won. Aprilia Ultimo Bicilindrico!
Listened to in through my mp3 headphones and it sounds heap better.:thumbup

Yeah my mates all said the same, I'd never done Brands hatch before thought it would be better to take it slow and learn the track, I'm sure the bike will go loads faster, I may try the fast group next time, even if im lowest guy there atleast i'll have a clear track!
