Can anyone shed any light on my little problem, on a recent trip away my back brake gave up totaly, as in foot pressing down on brake hard as you can, and it still rolls nice and free, i thought it maybe needed bleeding so pumped new fluid through as well and still no better, even took off the caliper so as to get bleed nipple to the highest point...:confused

Thank you in advance for any input....:thumbup

I'm going to bleed mine tomorrow I think, it's not as bad as yours tho', is your brake piston seized :dunno

That will almost certainly be your piston seized in the caliper.

Remove your caliper and see if you can move the piston in and out of the housing. Be careful that you don't move it out too much.

If the piston moves in and out with ease it has to be your rear brake master cylinder.

Although from what you say I would say it has to be a seized caliper.

Also to add to what amb67 said check that the locking pin that holds the rod to the pedal hasn't come adrift from the pedal, its held in place by a rubber band this can jam behind the pedal
