Im going to service my gen 2 over the dark and dismal winter months .

one of the jobs is front brake pad replacement , just wondered what opinions or preferences and experiences you bods out there have got .

I would ideally like brembo pads but they are a bit on the pricey side ( before anybody sez life dependency etc etc , this has been considered :yes) .

riding style is fast , so no cheap no name brake fade a certainty ,jobs would be considered .:no

have used ebc hh grade a previous bike ( 955 I speed trip ) but as they are sintered they started to rip up the discs a bit:bawling , want to avoid this .

im considering fa grade ebc organic pads . but don't want to lose any of the initial bite and feel .

Hey Hilift,
what do you mean by riding style fast? track days or street riding?
IMO if you are doing track days get sintered or ceramic Vesrah's, depending on your disc setup, for OEM discs i would use sintered street pads, rather than racing pads.
If you are riding fast on the street, stick to organic pads or sintered road - i reckon Brembo's are the go, yes they are a bit $$ but they last. I have the M50's on my 13' with stock brembo pads, i do track days with this setup and the front is awesome.

Everyone rabbits on about sintered racing compounds cause we all think we are so damn fast, but in reality it's important to be realistic about how we ride and get the right pads so we get the max benefits from them.

Vesrahs or Brembos. Thats my 2c..

I used SBS sintered street pads all round on the T and have just put them in the guzzi, good pads for a decent price IMO

Your gonna get a few different opinions on this one.
Yes the Brembos are expensive, but they are the best. For me,I'd go the extra for peace of mind.
If you are on a budget, then SBS or Bendix are very good pads for the money.
I cant get on with EBC pads at all.I guess they just dont suit me?
Vesrah is not a common brand in the UK.I dont think they are imported anymore.

10k miles and a track day on original brembo? pads. I'm not heavy on the brakes as I used the V twin stomp for engine braking too. I'd buy again for value, even if initially more expensive. just my 2 pennies.
