hello and help
I've just whipped off my original levers(vtwin 2010) to replace them, and on each side is a tiny spike shaped object, how the hell do i remove this :banghead, so i can fit to new lever????

many thanks

On my tuo clutch lever it has tiny allen screw holding it in 2mm I think? then unscrew spike COUNTING the turns !!! but then mine messed about with freepley etc so had to adjust it in I think till it was ok . Think I loctited it(allen screw) then , no bother since. PS, love road Romsey to Andover (Kingsomborne/Stockbridge)...

mine are on screw threads but are tighter than a sharks arse, dont want to risk damaging the threads, but will have another go, yes i agree on the road, Sparsholt College road is another classic

Yes M8 , eat at the plough pub now a then good food a ale, I live in N, baddesley so cut through Hursley etc ....back to levers ~ look like yours have been L/tited ... Sure theres no allen screw???????

The brake lever was a doddle to change spike wasn't attached at the handlebar, the clutch lever screw on the spike only goes half a turn? Am stuck no Allen screw

Have another look,....there is a tiny allen grub screw that locks the pin.Its usually sealed in with Loctite,so you may need a little heat to shift it.

Keith b many thanks found the little bugger, so all is good. Thanks to everyone for your help:thumbup

Wish I had known about that allen screw before I changed my levers on Sunday.
Any one know why the brake lever pin isn't screwed in or locked by an allen screw?
