Hi gents,

On one side of my 2002 Mille (matt black) I have the side panel, belly pan and lower fairing all cosmetically damaged (grazes, scratches and some bits of decals worn away,split and grazed).

Is there anywhere I can take them to be titivated/restored?

Probably the only people I would recommend are Dream Machines.

You'll be amazed at the quality of the work they produce.

No matter what part of the world you are, it'll be worth the trip.
 
I wouldnt recomend Dream Machine for a few panels mate unless you dont mind them being away for 4 to 8 weeks, you would be better off takin them to a local crash repairer who would do them in a week at a reasonable rate :thumbup
 
What little1 said really.

I took my 748's tank and side panels to a local spray shop that dealt mainly with Harleys and such things and they did both of those within a week and the price was very reasonable. Tip top job as well.

Try and find somewhere reputable locally if you can and check our their work, use google to see if anything comes up about them and go from there.

The flipside is I got a 'mate' who was a car sprayer by trade to do my Fireblade and took all the panels into his workplace on a Saturday afternoon and watched from outside the spray booth as the :jack made a right hash of it. Ended up with more orange peel than the Man from Del fookin Monte :rant
 
Forgot to ask, I need to replace the decals on said bodyparts - need a place to buy them.

Make sure ya get a good price mate as the carbon infill panels are about £140 quid on there own, the bike originally has plastic ones, you probably knew that, just thought id say tho :thumbup
 
Ya I was going to take the carbon bits out and stick them on mine, but didnt want to go through the whole re-decaling etc, so thought i'd leave it.

already sold them to hooked on here, not fussed about making a killing, just want enough to get my OZ wheelzzz :D half a million bucks to go!

image works are a disaster for the decals stay away from them, had a really bad experience with them. The stickers they sent me were completely the wrong dimensions and they were REALLY poor about getting back to my emails. I tried absolutely everywhere on the net including signsandshirts.co.uk and a guy called chris kruzel who i heard about on the forums to no avail. Eventually resigned myself to the fact that nowhere had them so I'd have to fork over a ridiculous amount and buy the official ones from af1racing.com
 
dont put everyone off just because you've had a bad experience, im sure its a one off,

all the decals on the front fairing on my bike I got from image works:

try not to paint [sic] all car sprayers as the same, i spent 15yrs as a sprayer & used to do alot of private work on bikes, (my own bike was my advert), & never had any complaints. Almost all my work was by recommendation.
