BMW Releases S1000RR European Pricing

BMW Motorrad released today that the base MSRP of the S1000RR will cost €15,800, expect the US pricing to be below that.

In typical BMW fashion the real fun features will cost more. The BMW Race ABS system will cost €950, while the Race ABS with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) will cost a combined €1,250. BMW is also offering an electric shifter for €370, and an alarm system for €220.

As we reported eariler, the bike will be available in four colors:*Thunder grey, Lupin blue-Magma Red-Acid green, Mineral Silver, and Alpinewhite (BMW Motorrad Red, White, & Blue) will cost*€600 more.

Expect to see the S1000RR in showrooms by the end of the year.

Who will be dumb enough to pay that much for a crappy BMW copy of a Jap bike when you can have a lovely RSV4 for almost the same cost?
 
They reckon it makes 193 bhp. 15k for a fully loaded bike doesnt seem too much. The RC8R and rsv4 cost the same.

Looks pig ugly from the front. I reckon its patrick moore's love child.
