Howdo, Has anyone fitted Blueflames on a new shape? got mine today:xmas but the link pipe is a bloody tight fit, I can't get it on the one side! Is it supposed to be that tight, rang Blueflame and they say it will go on, but I'll be f***ked if I can do it:dunno! any suggestions

I've seen a quite a few threads now on people having fitting problems on Blue Flame cans. I think the gist is that people have been very disappointed in the quality of the Blue Flame cans not just on fitment but on quality as a whole. I would speak to them again if you can't get it to fit. It should be a tight fit however the link pipe should slide on without having to be forced. From memory people seemed to have had their issues resolved without too much hassle. Good luck

whats the problem ? Is the pipe from the can too wide and does not want to fit in to the down pipe? anyway , if thats the case , get a blow torch and heat up the outer pipe, it will cause it to expand and then just slide it in.

If you use exhaust fitting paste...NOT exhaust repair ****

And polish the inside of the tube it will fit better

:stupid only think i can think of is a torch...maybe start out with hair dryer and some lube. :O

-:banana

Did try some heat on the thing, but no joy, it's the end that fits into the original exhaust thats the problem, and I must admit, that I am not that impressed the the quality of them either, The guy from Blueflame has told me to take them back to the factory and he will address the problems!

Hi Dad!Do what I did.'Took a broken end seam back as instructed by Dave at Blueflame.Returned to a rebuilt as new exhaust. They only needed it for an hour, now that's service! All the best everybody!Humbug!!!

Seems odd you have to go to all this trouble with a new exhaust, all the ones ive ever bought have slipped on nicely, never had a Blue Flame tho :confused:confused

Hi I have Blueflames on my Tuono. I too found them to be an extremely tight fit. What i did was to get my Dremmel and run the rough disk round the inside a few times. The link pipe now fits a treat and the sound is awesome , once you listern to the sound you forget all about thefitting problems and all the hassel becomes well worth it.

Hi Shrek, Dave has told me to take them back and they will slightly enlarge them, what did you think of the quanity of the finish?

Hi Dad,you'll find Dave very helpful, although without GPS their factory is tucked away on an industrial estate(just outside Wigan, off the M6).You could send it by courier(DHL).The quality of the Blueflame can is as good as anything I've seen.My oval ,twin outlet can goes straight on(with intermediate pipe)on my '01 Mille. If you decide to drop the can off ,Orrel Motorcycles(Aprilia dealers are close by).Regards AL.

Hi Wyns dad , i found the finish to be ok. where the exit ports are fitted to the cans i have found these to be pitting(like rust spots but these come out with a bit of polish) this is also the case where the pipe enters the can on the bottom end. BUT apart from this very slight issue i do think that the cans equal out any slight issue with the incredable sound that you get plus fitting these pipes got rid of the slight flat spots that i had , plus they are 200% better than the mivv cans that i had fitted before (keep away from these)
