Hello Peeps,

Has anybody fitted Blueflame exhausts on their RSV 1000 R bicycles:dunno, looked on tinternet and they look ok and are fairly cheap!:devious

I hadn't heard about them before....

Stain_1.jpg

not of my taste but ...we'd have to see how it sounds...

the carbon ones will fall apart with the power pulses, they dont always fit that well either but the build quality is not bad neither is the power gains.

SouthPaw has them on his bike...if he didn't have an internet connection problem he'd tell you about them himself. These were from his previous bike & he managed to 'adjust' the connecting pipes for the RSV. They do sound very nice and look very high level...I can hear him coming to my house from the next village!!!!!

I had one on my old mille, and it did sound awesome, and whats more it was road legal too!
I think I'll have them a ring and see whats, what.
Will keep you posted.

Bye the way, how much are akras, can't really pin down a price on the net?

Cheers andy

I have the Blue Flame titanium Twin Port on my '01.The standard exhaust weioghs about 18lbs,the Blue Flame about 6lb.The bike feels much better balanced with the loss of all that one sided weight. It's road legal, makes an orgasmic sound, not obtrusive. When I bought the bike the front coupling was loose.Took it up to Blue Flame(Skelmersdale,Lancs),returned an hour later,it was repaired and strengthened.Top,friendly service(ask for Dave, top man). The power delivery with map2 is very strong with no flat spots(not like my Bmw R1100RT /Remus combo) ,flat spots everywhere.Regards AL

Hi Kev, There the ones I thinking about getting:thumbup, the titanium ones, when you say you got the bike remapped, is that a case of going to an Aprilia Dealer and changing the ECU setting to map 2?, and by the way, what is map 2 !!!:dunno,

Cheers Andy.

Hi,
I have the blue flame evos fitted and yes they sound sweeet and with the twin port outlets you can change the sound by removing baffles/plugs ,I have found that top baffles out with lower plugs in gives the better performance and I have also removed the gel type stickers leaving just the alu plate (havent loaded a new picture of that yet.As for the map setting any way of knowing what it has been set to without taking her to a main dealer?see my pictures in profile ..

barclaycebo68,try,both baffles fitted, but the lower one drilled out ,not blocked. Not obtrusive, the way it should have been made.Ask OZZ,he's followed me>Regards AL

mmmmmm I take it Ozz said the same as my felolow pilots =uck me thats loud but then they should get proper bikes and stop messing with the gears ,cause ive gone before brain engages clutch... ha in line four wooosies.
eerrr sorry little tangent there, anyway doing it that way with the blanks is it just the lower noise factor or does it give it more go?

Barclay, with both blanks fitted and the lower (small blank)drilled out to it's centre hole, the performance is spot on and the noise is just right. Not too much noise.Try it,get a spare blank from Dave at Blue Flame.Regards AL PS Have just fitted a number 40 oil jet in place of my nunber 60.Neutral is effortless even when cold.

Arleyal, thanks for that I will give Dave a call or see if he is at the nec tomorrow, yes I have tried the uprated jet and combined with full oil change (not fully synth as recommended)and clutch/brake fluid change with Wurth high performance fluid It now runs sweeet and neutral is a sinch now, thanks for the advise .
Regards
