Does anyone know if you have to use blank off plates or not?

I was wondering if instead of using the plates you could just blank off the hole on the original casting that the hose was connected to:dowhat
Does this have to be blanked off with fitting a full Akro system, or if it is still connected will it have some kind of effect on the dyno tuning???
Any info on this subject would be a great help, knowing the pros and cons.:thumbup
Happy Easter everyone:biggrin

G'day Matey, so are you on the 4 now? what happened to the gixer?

Looking at the system I would say yes you could probably use the old casting blnked off (my only thought is ..... would there be some sort of air vortex going on compared the flat plate?!?) you could just get a local engineering shop to knock you up the plate?).
I think that the only way to get the gains from an Akra system would be to seal the system up - anything to do with emission laws will rob power IMO.

Deacs :thumbup

Hey there Deacs, yip I have an RSV4 Factory that I am just starting to get prepared for next season. Gets the Akros put on shortly as I only have 14k's to go for the first service and will get a few things done at once.
