Billy No Mates - Ride out Today...

Was supposed to be having a ride out with me old mate Andy today...
His day pass dropped to a half day pass and ended with jibbin at the last minute. Anyone got a spare pair of trousers he can borrow to wear when he's at home..... :lol

Anyway, thought bugger it and headed out for a play..

So, the 9:07 Mighty T leaving Harrogate...

Calling at:

Masham, Leyburn & Reith:




Muker and up them bastard vertical hairpins to Tan Hill (highest pub in England):




Brough, Kirby Stephen and Sedburgh:




Sedburgh over to Devils Bridge:



Ingleton and over to Hawes, stoppin at Ribble doofer for a brief stroll:



Over the tops to Starborrom, Kettlewell and home via Grassington & Pately Bridge.

Excellent day out, now sat smug, grining and inhaling a nice cold beer...

Great photos mate. Sometimes the billy no mates trips are just what the doctor ordered. I did one yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Going to have to do devil's bridge and Ribblesdale again soon. Been a couple of years since I've been down there now, as quite a trek for me.

Smashin post and pics f, had to do much the same last weekend because Dots fork seals were fooked.

I took loads of pics but ma fuddin phone got the lurgy.

I don't mind being oot on ma own it kind of ramps up the adrenalin a bit, but then am a strange fud.

Nice one f and the next time am doon yer way, can yer take me to the viaduct or bridge. :thumbup

Yeah A, no problem - ya more than welcome south of the wall !!

Tiz Ribblehead Viaduct (B6255 from Ingleton to Hawes). The viaduct is for the settle / carlisle railway... pretty sight when the steam trains cross...

Excellent road too, tho plent of unmarked police (bikes / cars / camera vans etc) so i always stick to the limits round there - noticed most other bikes did too yesterday.

Sorry Mr B, i should have given you a call !

Text PC on the Saturday nite (he couldnt make it) as it was gonna be a local trip out for brunch (grassington or masham etc) as me mate only had a morning pass - note "had" !

Didnt plan on being out so long, no route planned i just headed "that" way.....

Will make sure i speak up next time...

went for an unplanned run around weardale with GF on Saturday and had a good run out, enjoyed a good few miles on the tigger as well

I often do a billy no mates ride , i like going at my pace as a couple i ride with are a bit on the slower side , ended up all over north Devon on sunday and it was jolly nice ....

was a good route mate and had a laff at GF getting bounced out of the seat on my T
that was the last one before Spain and the bike is all prepped ready for the off

only decided around 9 on Saturday mate, next run out will be a planned affair so eyes peeled
