got me one of these at the BMF show at the weekend for £85 and am pleased with it. very easy to use and good for working on the bike or cleaning it etc. also handy for parking my bike in a garage with space is limited :thumbup

Hi mate.

I have one of these and they are great for storing the bike off the stand in the garage, for standing upright when cleaning or orking on your bike and I used it to collect my new bike on a normal trailer.

If anyone else wants one I can supply them for £75 inc post.

yours doesn't look like it can be securely bolted down steve, and has no loop for a chain, so not quite as useful perhaps. also no rubber pads on the bottom for secure, skid free action. less money though, so what can you expect?

Hi mate.

You are right that it can't be bolted down but that is because it is not designed as a permanent fitting but so you can use it in the garage, on the drive or on the back of a trailer. The anti slip part is on the ends of the bars.
I think the products are basicaly the same but yours is designed for permanent fixing and mine isn't, don't suppose it matters too much once the bike is on it as they both do the same job I reckon.

Still prefer my Abba Stand, better than anything else I have used.

we can agree on the abba stand - superb product. just using mine now to lube my chain :thumbup

i am in no way connected with the biker tidy people. just that i have one of their double shelf units and now the stand and think they're a great product so thought i would share my opinion in case it helps others :thumbup

I stored my Ducati on the Abba stand all through the winter and will be doing the same with my RSV.
I have one of the biker tidy double shelf units as well and agree, great item.

Anything any of us can put on here that helps others make up their mind what to purchase has got to be good I reckon.

Hope to meet a load of you guys some day, gonna try and get to the meet this Saturday (I only live 15mins from Stanstead) but have torn the ligaments in my ankle and can't get my boots on.......Gutted!!!!!

just found an issue with mine - it only works on the front wheel. i wanted to reverse into it to stand my vfr upright in my garage in a narrow gap without having to bother with the centrestand but the rear tyre is too wide for the pivotable holder :banghead just going to write to the manufacturer to see if they can do a wider one

Lol, they are deffo only designed for the front wheel, I asked my manufacturer if they can make a plate to accomodate a back wheel and they are looking into it as well, will let you know if they come up with one.
