Bike wont start, help please

I posted a couple of weeks ago that my bike wouldn't start and there was a loud clicking from the what sounded like the ecu case, ordered a new battery as symptoms pointed to the battery being dead, have just put new battery on and still the same, better voltage but still the clicking. While changing the battery I noticed that the starter solenoid wire covers have melted and the clicking is coming from that and the sound was resonating through the ecu casing.

This potentially points towards the solenoid or the starter motor but am just enquiring to see if anyone else has had the same problem as I don't want to buy either one and find out it is the other. I will be removing the starter motor to check to see if it's seized but I hear it is very rare for any starter motor to seize.
Any ideas will be greatfully received, cheers, Scoote

leave the starter motor alone and change the solenoid to an uprated 150amp one ...and yes common problem lots of people have had the same issue

Cheers for the advice, is the uprated one a standard RSV solenoid or is it a special type

you can get one at wemoto.com , just changed mine a few weeks ago , rang them up and it arrived next day

aprilia sell a 150 amp version..pretty sure its the only one you can buy now some people fit a yamaha 150 amp part...just use the search function "uprated solenoid" try Griff at aprilia performance or TASH on here
