i have a 2007 rsvr factory it was put in storage for 4 months and now will not start. it has fresh gas, good battery, it cranks and has spark, but will not start. any ideas on whats wrong?:dunno

Is the fuel pump priming properly?
I bought a 2001 rsvr that was stores for a long time and it didnt start straight away. It turned out to be flooded.
Check to see if the plugs are wet. If so suggest you dry them out and try again.
I think these V twins are prone to flooding if they don't fire up straight away.

Same kind of problem 03 Mille R rode it no problem 8 hours later cranks and cranks but nothing. Bought a new battery same deal endlessly cranks over but nothing...Anyone know about Brisk spark plugs? Put them in but has run fine for weeks...can hear fuel pump prime so....? WTF???

If it cranks but does not start I would say your immboliser has packed up or does not recognise the code in the key.
Unfortunately I dont know how to test this, but I am sure there will be others along shortly wh do ! :)

Oh & welcome by the way

hi i agree with kiwi, would recomend trying your second key and see if that works

Check the dash for any DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes).

Does the fuel pump prime as asked by Syltiz, seems that this is the only area not confirmed as yet. If you have confirmed spark and fuel then it has to be mechanical.

I take it no on has had access to the bike in your absence and played around with it etc...? Have you confirmed that no parts are missing or unplugged etc....?

if it were the immobilisor it would be reflected by the dash lights.
unrecognised key is solid red light when key is in ignition.
