the wasteland east anglia
did anyone go this year ??

I went this weekend a I do every year ( and always say I might not bother next year ) , this year much the same £ 20 t get in and £ 16 fukkin quid t park the car !!.

Im quite happy with the T , but I am considering straying else where possibly .the new suzook katana is first choice as a replacement I just love the looks , then again the original was always on the serious want list ( still is )

speed trip , bmw r9t .( no not the horrendous hipster special with the brown seat ) and of course the v4 factory T .

aprilia is in last position as problems I had in france this summer with the stator coil has but a bit of a ***** in its armor . and brand loyalty has suffered as a result of that .

not many freebies again not even a friggin calendar for work ,without giving all your personal details and life history away !!.

the piaggio trade stand staff were the usual disinterested characters .

I don't know whether I,ll go next year ,!!!!!

but I have been every year since 1990 !!! its a jolly boys weekend thing .
the older I get and dwindling ability to consume alchohol makes it less jolly every year.

I went last Saturday and was surprised how few people were there, had a good look around and got in for a tenner as there was a bloke outside who sold us a couple of tickets cause his mates never showed up :thumbup

jammy git !!!

we got parked up at the furthest point from the bloody entrance !! 20 minute walk !!! buses non existent .and the congestion on the supply roads was the worst ive ever seen and the signage was non existent too .

allegedly the NEC is no longer in the control of b/ham city council and is now run by a private consortium . it shows, it really shows , like everything else that gets "privatized " prices go up and service and facilities goes down hill .
3 hours later and one of my mates was still chunttering about the parking charges !!!:lol

Yes the parking charge is a con,we used to park in the multi storey £3.00 at the shopping centre but now after 2 hours it's been hiked up to stop people doing that, like you said service isn't what it used to be but as I only go every 2 years I can just about put up with it

Book in advance Parking £10.00 still expensive but saved 6 quid. Entrance tickets discounted in advance too
I booked 10 tickets and 2 parking passes for £197.00 inc booking fee. £19.70 per person saved over £80.00

Built in England and had the best presence of all the manufacturers at NEC. :thumbup

A mate had a CCM super moto, the carb body touched the frame which was common shattering the throttle slide resulting in the engine gobbling up the shrapnel :bawling

Probably the R30 Super moto? CCM have come a long way since them, I never said they were good, but visually they stunning, the floor space and show area stood out above the rest who should have bigger budgets and resources. Norton was another that impressed.

Aprilia had the usual stuff. Tuono, RSV4 etc but did any se the new 660? and the uninterested team working the floor area I am sure they can do better.
