Bike setup & tire ?

Hey guys, so I've had my Mille-R for 1 season now and love it. I have a questions regarding steering setup and tires. I have worn out the Michelin Power Pures that are currently on the bike. I felt like this season the bike was very difficult to steer, and somewhat blame the extra stiff (PO: 220# rider) rear spring the PO installed on the rear shock. So first order of business will be to swap that for the OEM spring the bike came with (I'm 160#) and have the bike setup for me (I'm hoping this will aid in the steering quite a bit). However, doing some research on tire sizes i'm seeing people with the 180 rear are saying it helps quicken up the steering. So would it be advantageous of me to go with a 180 tire in the back or stick with the 190 that is the OEM recommendation??

190/50/17 is an awful tyre for cornering in comparison to say a 190/55/17 or the standard 180/55/17.

Better still the tyre that is getting excellent reviews is the newer sized 180/60/17 particularly in terms of quicker turn in.

Yet to try the 180/60. Current running 190/55, very happy nice turn in, makes a big bike feel lighter more nimble. As already noted it will be big improvement over the 190/50, also has the benefit of a larger cornering contact patch over a 180/55.

i've used 180/55, 190/50, 190/55. i love the 190/55's, can live with the 190/50's and hate the 180/55's. 180/55 on 6" wide rims are flat and i get to the edge even in town-riding! :)
