Sellers beware, had close call the other day. Whilst in the process of selling my bike I was sent a email saying, ,, I am a marine biologist and want to buy your bike as a gift for my son. He asked all the right questions about the bike. Then went on to say, could he pay by PayPal as he did not have Internet banking accessible were he was, no problems, the he wanted me to pay the shipping company £400 because he had no Internet banking. He payed the money into my PayPal account in full including shipping. It was put on hold and would be released as soon as I payed the £400 shipping, ,,,, so PayPal informed me by email. But I did not have to sign in to this link ?.....so I went onto my PayPal account signed in to find there was no payment pending, gave them a quick phone call, no payment had been made, ,,,,., SCAM!
just be warned.

The email I received from PayPal looked genuine, but you always have to sign in. It almost caught me out, if its to good to be genuine then there's a scam some were. The shipping company was in the USA. I did think £400 was a little on the low side.

This type of thing has been going on for a few years now.
As soon as they "buyer" mentions shipping etc tell them to **** off.
Pleased you didn't lose out

Thanks, luckily for him, I will never bump into him.:kicknuts my wife says I am not the most tolerant of people:dunno

Also watch out for those bastards who want to send you a check for more than the selling prices, asking you to send them the difference. Had an SOB try that once when selling a car.

Had some PPI **** tell me I had £2800 for a claim (which I didn't start) and all I had to do was send them £1200 first. Not sure if I'm allowed to post the language I used to him.

Be careful to clicking on a link they send you and then signing in. Always go the full site separately rather than through a link.

Bunch of scamming bastards , go get a job and work long hours for **** all ...... oh hang on a mo .................. anyone selling a bike , just need you to pay for shipping , i can be trusted :lol

Never sign in thru' email links. ALways check adrress starts 'https', and there is a 'padlock' showing in the address bar.
