HI can anyone help. my brother purchased an RSV (2001) track bike for us to share off ebay it rides realy good, super smooth , but only does 4/5 laps then cuts out it re-starts after couple mins though. The EFI flashes constantly
I checked ecu it has written on it RP58 chip blue wire cut. It appears the blue wires were cut but they hav been re-attached. Also rev counter was stuck at approx 7000 rpm ,
I changed the clocks hoping that would cure rev counter and flashing EFI, it cured rev counter prob but EFI still flashing.
Thought maybe its overheating but I run her in my garage till the fans kicked in but she didnt cut out. I have prob as bike is not on the road I can only run her at track days which aint cheap if any one has any ideas I would be greatful

have uo done the diagnositc check by connecting the 2 wires behind the right hand seat panel?

when you say the rev counter wouldn't go past 7K do you mean the bike wouldn't rev past 7K or the small red light on the tacho flashed?

As cheesy says connect the 2 bullet connectors under the side panel on the exhaust side. That will give you an error code.
