Best place for parts?

Managed to snap the head off a seized front mudguard bolt today and wondered where's the best place to get replacement parts from?

I've heard Aprilia Yorkshire are a bit on the slow side but don't really know of anyone else. Don't mind if it's overseas as long as they are reliable and reasonably quick.

Or failing that has anyone got a spare mudguard bolt :pirate

Failing any of the above try ringing Aprilia yorkshire they are now called Ultimate parts ltd 01159216668 with you neing in yorkshire you might be able to go and pick one up if they have one in as long as they are not to far away

Thanks Sharky,

Had a look at the sites you listed but they don't seem to stock the smaller stuff like bolts etc. Looks like I'll have to try Aprilia Yorkshire/Ultimate Parts but seems they've moved to Nottingham as well as changing name :confused

Thanks Sprocker,

Well it's listed on Aprilia Yorkshire as a 'Screw w/flange M5x16'

I bought one from a hardware store but it didn't have the shoulder on it that fits the hole in the mudguard. It's holding but think I'll have to order a proper one.

I'll have a look in the shed tomorrow I might have one kicking around. I can get M5x16 from work but not sure they have flanges.. How long is the flange btw :dunno

Couldn't wait till tomorrow so just been out to check and I haven't got one like that. I took one of mine off to see...they're a special type of screw so sorry mate cant help you there :roll

Hey tantrum is it not worth trying a local breakers yard or even one further a field they all do postal services might be worth a bash

Please Tantrum do yerself a favour mate and DON'T go down the Aprilia Yorkshire (ultimate parts) route. Call Rox at Motorcycle Maintenance in Leigh, one call and it will be sorted. I've had stuff on order from Ultimate parts since November last year with no joy, infact spoke to them today and their holding to blame for a package that has gone missing that they sent recorded delivery. Mate their truely :jack

Cheers Guys :thumbup

sprocker - Thanks for trying :) as you say it's a special type so I'll have to find a proper bolt.

BRG - Funny you should suggest Speedaway as that's where my mille came from originally - it has their number on my plate and a 'Speedaway' sticker on the front of the fairing. You'd have thought I would have noticed before and given them a ring :doh

sharky - Good idea on trying a breakers :thumbup I always look for stuff on ebay but never think to try a breakers.

SPOOKY - I've emailed Rox to see if they can help. Not too far away from me as well :)

Has anyone started a thread on here getting members to post a pic of themselves and their name so you get to know who's who? I've seen pics of Pumpkin so I suppose it'll all be downhill from there :biggrin but it'd be nice to put names to faces etc.

Thanks, Gray.
