Looking to replace my '00 RSV front mudguard - looks like mine has had an encounter with a disc lock at some stage.

Can anyone recommend a quality Carbon replacement?

Thanks :thumbup

Have you actually seen one - I know the quality of carbon fibre varies quite a bit so was hoping someone had fitted one they could recommend?

Hi,

I got a Powerbronze carbon mudguard with the mesh vents in it brand new for £75.00 on Ebay. The carbon is good quality.

This is the link to there website, couldn't find any on Ebay but I'm sure I had a Powerbronze money off leaflet with this weeks MCN (so the MCN is useful for somethings apart from collecting crap in the bottom of your birdcage). The leaflet reduced the price to £75 I think. At work at the moment so will have alook when I get home tonight.

I can also recommend the Quality of the Carbon Fibre Products on rsvr.net, I haven't purchased a Mudguard but have purchased other Carbon panels etc from them and they are always good quality.

Hope this info helps
Cheers
Chris

Thanks Chris :thumbup

Had a look at the one on the Powerbronze website but it says it's for a '01-'03 - don't know if that would fit my '00? Like the look of it so hope it does.

Oops! Sounds like I've upset an MCN reader :uhoh to be honest I do buy it occasionally and not just for it's absorbent properties - good as they are - I do actually enjoy reading it, I just don't take it too seriously. Sorry if I have offended :blush I'll buy this weeks one anyway and look for the voucher - the Guinea Pigs need cleaning out as well :laugh

The carbon stuff on RSVR.net looks nice too so now I know it's good quality as well I'll go for that if I've no luck with the Powerbronze one.

Thanks Again, Gray :)

Hi,

No you haven't upset me just pulling ya leg, I know the MCN has a lot of ***** in it but I'd rather read that than most of the Newspapers which really are depressing!!

Anyhow have just popped home to look at the leaflet and it definitely says all Carbon Mudguards are £135 reduced to £79 (it doesn't actually say that on the website so you might be better off phoning them the order Phoneline number on the leaflet is 01903 783222). I know it says 01-03 but my mille is a 2000 and it fits ok.

Have a look at the Feb ROTM, thats my mille that is...

If you want any additional pictures let me know and I'll post some for you.

Cheers
Chris

I bought the MCN and found the Powerbronze offer. You have to buy an Airblade screen to qualify for the offer price on the mudguard but I was thinking of getting a screen anyway :). Don't tell anyone but the MCN actually looked interesting this week - the Guinea Pigs will have to wait :devious

Had a look at your bike on the Feb ROTM thread and indeed it is your mille that is.... seriously, it looks great and yes the mudguard looks good too. Does it make a difference though that you have Ohlins forks? Better check with Powerbronze first I guess?

Some more pics would be nice - as I'm a newbie I'm after ideas for mods etc. so will be good to see what other owners have done to theirs.

Cheers, Gray.

Hi Tantrum,
Here is a link for genuine Aprilia stuff, not sure how the prices compare.:dunnohttp://www.maxmoto.co.uk/aprilia_rsv_r_carbon.shtml

Hi Tantrum,

No the mudguard mounting points are exactly the same on both the Ohlins and Showa forks.
