Hi

Has anyone tried a track day at Bedford Autodrome (looking for a change from Brands and its anti clockwise so can wear out the other side of the tyres) is it any good and how fast can a T get up to on the long straight?

And does a T with Akras +/- Baffles get through the 101db noise test?

Cheers

Chris

Hi ,

Had a go last year , rained most of the day and last session we had thunder and lightining but possibly the best trackday I have done and not a bad drive .

I was on my 01 blade but friend had his T , got through noise test with blueflames with baffles and they are very strict , council hob nobs live v close to track.

Get there early if you want garage space as they are small and you will have to share.

We used the carpark as our base between sessions and wished we had taked bbq .

All in good day for a good price

I was there in 09 they are REALLY strict on noise, I was eventually let on with my SD even though they were reading 103db but if there ae two of you with V twins riding together you just set off the noise detecters. PITA.

On our lunch breifing they told us not to ride together, also you have to put your bikes in the pitlane are and park 1/2 mile away, so you have to walk to get your fuel etc a right pain.

Awesome track though very fast and corners a plenty but is flat as a pancake:

Here is a vid of me following my mate for a lap then opening it up.

Was late in the year so my GOPRO did not like the lack of light.

Thanks for the replies - I'm going with a Mate on a Speed Triple with stndard pipes so hopefully we won't trigger the noise limit.

Cheers
