HondaCBRrr06

Bike is 8 mths old from new RSVR & not been started for 2months and went to fire it up Friday morning to run it for 10mins and not even enough power in battery to light up ignition light ,,,,,,,,,, bike is standard with NO alarm fitted has been on charge for 2 days & have now power to dash but starter motor just clicking & not enough power to turn engine over ,,,, do u reckkon it could be a fooked battery ,,,,,,,,,, my mates had his RSVR 4yrs & starts every time :dunno

Battery is poked mate, please do not keep trying to start it with the battery that low !.

Depending on finances get yourself a proper decent battery from the likes of here
www.tayna.co.uk or from ebay.

Basically get a battery with the highest CCA you can afford and an Optimax (if you havn't already got one)

Make sure you check out the charging circuit too, after all we know that these are the Achilles heal of the later RSV's. :thumbup

Yep check your brown plug. Also do you keep her on an Optimate or the like?
The owners manual does say that if you're going to leave the bike for 20 days or more then remove the 30A fuses as these supply the dash and will drain the battery.

LOL I rarely drink these days, alcohol affects my judgement and that's the last thing you need doing 90mph in to a hairpin. :thumbup

Advice is always free with me, just glad to be of assistance.

ken good new mate . do yourself a favour mate and bypass the brown connectors .i did mine straight away as they are total crap , one in the middle of the cylinders and one behind the water bottle . you need a soldering iron and some heat shrink sleeving . i will come round and give you a lift if you like mate :thumbup
